Barry Chess, the author of Talaro’s Foundations in Microbiology 11th Edition, has a background in research related to the development of muscle and bone. He has been teaching microbiology at Pasadena City College for over two decades, where he has also taught biology to majors and non-majors, developed a course in human genetics, and helped to establish a biotechnology program.
